CodeRED Program

OPT OUT of CodeRed Notifications

The Cranston Police Department encourages anyone who lives, works, attends school, or owns property in the City of Cranston to enroll online with CodeRED using the link at the bottom of this page. Once enrolled, you have the ability to manage your account to include the following; home/business phone (land line), cell phone numbers, VoIP phones and email addresses.

Since CodeRED messages are geographically based, street addresses are essential to ensure emergency notification calls are received by the proper individuals in a given situation. When registering, please use a standardized Cranston street address number and street name with suffix (e.g., 1 Main St). Post Office box numbers or addresses outside of Cranston cannot be accepted and will not be notified.

Registration is confidential, free, and easy. All information is protected with the highest security and will not, under any circumstances, be shared with any party. Those without internet access may use the computer stations at any Cranston Public Library location during normal business hours. Those who do not register their address and phone number may not be notified with CodeRED in the case of an emergency.
